I love being a photographer! That’s a huge part of who I am and it gathers many of my likes (or loves as I like to call them) into one profession. I love images, the way they hold still a moment that you wish had last forever… I also love angles and different perspectives. Taking pictures gives me the ability to find all that is “new.” I love people: talking, interacting, having fun, sharing moments… I get to do that with a bunch of individuals as they invite me into their lives, even if just for a few hours or moments… MY STYLE is photojournalism. My way of going about it is unobtrusive. I want to tell a story with every picture I take. So many clients come to me and say: “Wow, I didn’t even know you were taking pictures when this happened,” or “I’m so glad you captured this, I didn’t remember it until I saw this picture…” it reminds me every time why I do this. DESIGN: My interest in design came much later than my interest in photography; however, it has grown to a point now where I can’t get enough of either! I love designing books, cards, composites, anything my clients want! When I deliver a wedding book to a couple and they look through and laugh, sometimes cry, look at each other with eyes that say more than words – the memories of that special day are re-lived through every page – it is priceless! Or a Holiday card that is unique, different from any other card… A composite with pictures of a baby: little feet, little hands, beautiful eyes, a favorite blanket… It doesn’t get better than that! A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME: I am married to a wonderful man that brings me breakfast in bed all the time; I have two sets of parents, one set in Brazil and one set here in Minnesota. I love them all dearly and miss my parents (from Brazil) a LOT! I also have a sister, one of my best friends, and she is one year older than I am. I love watching movies; I don’t know how to take care of plants; The only pet I have ever had was a gold fish named Elvis and I cried for days when he died (ask me about this story, although sad for me, it was hilarious!); I love wearing mismatched socks; Two of my criteria for judging restaurants is how clean the bathroom is and how good the fries taste; I have my ears pierced twice but rarely use earrings; Christmas is my favorite holiday; I cry watching shows like Home Extreme Makeover; I have taken a culinary class but used up all the time enjoying the food and forgot to learn anything! My favorite restaurant is “Fogo de Chao;”And I LOVE, LOVE, love a bargain!
