PUG Bridal Shoot {Part 1}

I feel like 2010 has been a fantastic year so far in every sense of the word. One of the things that have contributed to that was meeting a whole bunch of people that share my love for photography. Last week I attended my first Pictage sponsored PUG meeting. Stacy and Jason from Staja Studios open their studio space once a month and August happened to be a Bridal Shoot. Sounds fun, huh? It really was awesome… I would recommend to all my brides using the vendors below, from the beautiful one-of-a-kind gowns from FOAT Design to the uniqueness of Lacie’s bouquets, to the gorgeous make-up touch of Collette and the fabulous Do’s by Aly… Here’s the complete look of one of the models:

Mike & Anna {Minneapolis Wedding Photographer}

These might be some of my favorite pictures ever! Mike and Anna are the sweetest couple. By the end of the night I felt like I was part of the family and was truly happy they invited me to be there capturing such an awesome time with friends and family. They are PERFECT for each other… This truly is just a sneak peek, there was so much to pick from I’m super excited! The reception was at Solera and it was gorgeous! I might have to do a second post for some of those pics… Oh, and I really love her bouquet! Mike and Anna, I wish you guys all the happiness in the world, trips to Jamaica, hot cocoa together during Christmas, and a lot of love!

Jason + Rachel {Renewal of Vows}

I love renewal of vows. Nick and I got married on September 2, 2007, and renewed our vows on May 3, 2008. We had our reasons (first wedding was very little so we wanted to do another big one and invite everybody, so long story short, we had a renewal of vows), but I think it’s such a great idea. If Nick would let me, we would renew our vows every year! When Jason and Rachel approached me with the idea of having me photograph their renewal of vows I was all in! How especial that I would get to be there and witness such an awesome event. They have been married for 5 years, and they not only love each other, they have re-committed themselves to each other! Here’s a little sneak peek of their love…

This Saturday was pretty awesome. I got to spend it seeing an amazing couple choosing to commit to each other and spend the rest of their lives together. It was beautiful to watch… The morning began with rain but by the time the wedding started the sun had peaked and we were able to really enjoy the beautiful Arboretum in Chaska. Shawn + Rita’s Wedding {Hopkins Wedding Photographer}

This Saturday was really perfect. It was cool enough that we were comfortable outside, everybody looked amazing, the reception food was fabulous, the colors were awesome (I love pink ) and everything just seemed to fall into place. It was one of those days that was just meant to happen. Rita and Shawn were meant for each other, and meant to get married, and totally meant to spend the rest of their lives together. I loved looking at Shawn’s face when he looked at Rita. I noticed when I did their e-session that the easiest way to get him to relax was to tell him to just look at her. Worked every time… They are awesome, and I wish them a life full of happiness together, walks around the lake, and a lot of Brazilian food and music (yep, she’s brazilian!).

Sneak Peek for Tina {Bridal Shoot}

This Tuesday I had an awesome time at the University Club in St. Paul. The location is truly amazing. I think the timing of the session was also great and the lighting gorgeous. And Tina, well, you can just see for yourself… I guess there are times when pictures just say it all. One thing I will say, Tina was up for everything and anything and not afraid to feel like a model (which she is not, believe it or not) which was awesome. If you are getting ready to get pictures done, take a deep breath, and enjoy the moment. Don’t worry about anything else… Enjoy these!

Tim + Shauna {Trash the Dress}

I’m not even sure how to start this post… Going to Aruba and photographing Tim & Shauna’s wedding was simply amazing, and then doing this really fun session afterwards – let’s just say awesome doesn’t describe it! I highly recommend these day after sessions because you no longer need to worry about keeping your wedding clothes clean, it’s all about cathing “the moment.” Here are some of my faves, enjoy!
