When should I book?
I recommend booking at least 4 weeks before you want to have your session.
What should I wear?
After you book your session we can discuss clothing choices and I can send you a “what to wear” guide complete with pictures as well as my favorite places to shop for inspiration!
What happens after the session?
Within 3 days of your session you will be able to get a sneak peek of some of your photos on my blog. About 2 weeks after your session you will get an email with a link to a slideshow of your images and a link to your online ordering gallery. Both the slideshow and gallery will be live for 7 days.
Why 7 days?
I like to be completely available to help with the ordering process and feel like 7 days gives me the chance to work with each client on a more personal basis. I also feel like my client’s “gut” feeling is always the right choice. Too many days to order causes confusion as to what to order.
What if the weather isn’t looking good?
I’m always checking the weather, and if it’s likely going to rain I will e-mail or call you the day before to discuss rescheduling, or give you some indoor options.
Do you have props?
I have many props to use, depending on what kind of session. Some examples are: vintage chairs, flower headbands, little newborn hats, colorful little baby tubs, blankets, etc…
Should we bring anything?
I do recommend bringing little snacks for kids, a favorite toy, and a couple of outfit changes in case “accidents” happen J. Feel free to bring anything else you feel will enhance your session.
Do you allow pets in your sessions?
Absolutely! They are part of the family! Just remember to bring something to tie them for when they are not on the spotlight.
What is the best time for pictures?
It really depends on the time of the year. Early in the morning and about one hour before sunset are times with great lighting. However, I have a lot of experience with natural light and also have portable studio lighting so you should book your session time thinking more about nap times, time when your little one is usually at his/her best, etc.
What types of photos will be taken (B/W, Color, Antiques, etc..)?
I shoot all in color, and add BW, Sepia, other effects during post-production. If you have a preference please let me know and I’ll make sure to add more of whatever you like. The online gallery also allows you to turn prints to BW before printing.
What kind of products do you offer?
I’m very excited about the products I offer! One of my absolute favorites is the session box. It is designed by me with a picture from your session and comes with every single picture from the shoot! Session boxes hold 4×6 or 5×7 prints. I also design albums which are a very nice way to tell the story of your family through strategic placing of pictures in your design. Other favorites are Canvases, Frames, and Float Wraps which will look stunning hanging on your walls. Custom wall-displays are also available.
Do you need a deposit to hold my date?
Yes. Your deposit of half the total is non-refundable and should be mailed to me within 5 days of having your date “penciled in.” If I don’t receive your deposit within 7-10 days, I will release you date/time to other clients. The balance is due on the day of the session.
