On September 2 Nick and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. Wow, it really doesn’t seem like it’s been two years. The cool thing is that we will always have Labor Day holiday weekend to celebrate!
Last year we went to Disney, but since we are going to Brazil in December we decided to take a smaller trip and ended up in Wisconsin Dells! Yes, the land of cheese and waterparks! I have to say we had fun, but I don’t think we’ll be going there again.
We stayed at a hotel called Kalahari. The cool things about the hotel besides the waterparks was tthe movie theater connected to the hotel and their indoor theme park. We had a lot of fun on the rope obstacle course, go carts, and even lazer tag! We are such kids!
We did go to the movies but the movie we saw is not even worth mentioning – another one of Nick’s picks… I gotta love him for that! Seriously, not worth it! On a better note, we watched “The Proposal” on our room and I loved it! Such a cute movie and even Nick thought it was funny. Don’t you love Sandra Bulock?!
It was so nice to drive around and find candy shops everywhere! I can’t believe how amazing the fudge and chocolate covered strawberries tasted! Nick bought tons of sour gummy worms, his favorite…
So now I’ve been back for a couple of weeks and it feels good to be home. I was walking aournd Target and found the cutest Holloween bowl! I can’t wait to start buying lots of candy! Fall is such a beautiful time of the year – I Love it! There is something about the coolness in the air and the leaves turning beautiful reds and oranges and yellows that just puts me in a “wonder” mode, you know? And the sky! Have you noticed the sky lately? I don’t know if it’s the fall or not but the sky has been just gorgeous lately!
Well, now that I have totally rambled on, I should go back to the reason why I am writing this post. I love my husband. I love being married to him. I love how happy he makes me and I love that even though we have our fights, like any couple, we believe in “forever.” We were walking hand-in-hand at the hotel and this little girl said to her parents “look, they are holing hands,” and the dad joked: “they are not married!” so Nick turned around and said “yes we are!” and the guy said “give it time…” (Nick and I had a LONG conversation on this). What I want to say is things don’t have to change. What I hope for all of you is that you keep holding hands and kissing each other, and doing nice things just “because.” My parents have been married for over 25 years and trust me, when I look at them I see so much love and admiration for each other that it makes me believe that it is possible to have a “happily ever after.”
